Operating locally out of our Auckland offices and with a pantry of over 2,500 ingredients, we’ve been servicing food & beverage manufacturers across New Zealand for 27 years.

The Langdon Pantry provides a wealth of options including our exclusive range of Cocoa powders, sourced from our industry-leading European supplier. Perfect for traditional applications in confectionary and baked goods, our range is also suitable for a variety of functional and unlikely applications.

Cocoa Range

PV1

pH: 5.5 (+/- 0.5) | % Fat: 10-12

Natural: 

  • Natural cocoa powder, light brown with golden tones. Intense cocoa flavour and aroma with subtle fruity notes.

Applications: 

  • Ideal for toppings, instant drinks, pastries, syrups and chocolate confectionery.

PV2

pH: 6.8 (+/- 0.3) | % Fat: 10-12

Lightly Alkalized: 

  • Light brown cocoa powder with a mild chocolate flavour and aroma, strongly reminiscent of the flavours of cocoa in its original state.

Applications: 

  • Ideal for making hot chocolate, instant drinks, toppings, syrups, ice creams, dairy products, chocolate confectionery, cakes and pastries.

PV2R

pH: 6.5 (+/- 0.5) | % Fat: 10-12

Lightly Alkalized Reddish: 

  • Slightly reddish cocoa powder with a mild flavour and aroma, but intense chocolate notes, without losing any of the finest cocoa notes.

Applications: 

  • Ideal for quality products requiring a reddish finish, in all areas of bakery, dairy products, ice creams, instant drinks, toppings, cereals and syrups.

PV4

pH: 7.9 (+/- 0.3) | % Fat: 10-12

Medium Alkalized Plus: 

  • Moderately alkalized cocoa powder with a dark brown colour and high chocolate notes in aroma and final flavour in mouth.

Applications: 

  • Great in savoury applications adding depth of flavour including gravies, rubs and stews. Naturally suits a wide range of dairy applications, syrups, toppings and bakery.

PV4-21

pH: 7.9 (+/- 0.3) | % Fat: 20-22

Medium Alkalized:

  • Alkalized high fat cocoa powder with intense chocolate flavour and aroma and a dark brown colour with light reddish tones.

Applications: 

  • Its intense flavour and aroma makes this product particularly suitable not only for ice creams, but also for bakery products and chocolate confectionery.

PV6R

pH: 8.3 (+/- 0.5) | % Fat: 10-12

Strong Alkalized Reddish:

  • Cocoa powder that conveys its dark reddish colour intensely in all applications.

Applications: 

  • High quality bakery products, ice creams, puddings, syrups, cereals, cakes and pastries, toppings, chocolate confectionery, drinks and dairy products.

PV7

pH: 8.8 (+/- 0.5) | % Fat: 10-12

Strong Alkalized Black:

  • Black cocoa powder with a strong flavour, as the result of a special alkalization process. This cocoa is ideal to use as a clean label and colour substitute.

Applications: 

  • Products that require an intense dark black colour, such as biscuits and toppings, and as a natural colorant thanks to its powerful colouring effect.
