The Langdon pantry provides a wealth of options for food and beverage manufacturers. Our range of yeasts are sourced from industry leading suppliers with over 100 years experience and are so vast and varied that there is bound to be a yeast solution for every problem.
Why we love yeast and you should too…
Yeasts can be very versatile, some are natural, others highly nutritional, and some are a good source of protein. Those benefits already tick a lot of development boxes. However, the benefits of yeast-based ingredients and extracts are vast, and with continued innovation in plant-based, flexitarian, pescatarian and dairy free products, yeast can be a developer’s best friend.
Not only do some perform well nutritionally, but others can be considered essential for boosting savoury notes in products, providing a ‘meaty’ flavour, replacing, and reducing sodium, and providing improved mouthfeel and texture.
Whether you’re adding body and depth of flavour to a peppercorn sauce, or a medley of meaty, umami notes to a snack seasoning or meal topper, there will be a yeast for the job.

Inactive Yeast

This high fibre yeast carries a strong cheesy flavour and it is agreat option for seasonings and as a cheese substitute. When toasted the flavour develops into a rich umami, comparable to an aged parmesan.
Yeast Extracts
